Anticipate the Opening – Anticipate the Future!
The Perry County Opportunity Center will be the new home to careers, jobs and workforce development opportunities provided by Perry County Job and Family Services (PCJFS).
The Opportunity Center will be a modern, innovative open-plan facility designed to serve the needs of all Perry County Residents, and to be welcoming and accessible to the entire community.
The Opportunity Center will be home to PCJFS's many family and community support programs.
When it is completed the Opportunity Center will be the first stage of realizing the community's vision and plan for the County Home Farm site and all of its assets.
The Opportunity Center is sited beside the college building and County Barn to provide a more complete view of the factors that shape education and employment outcomes. That is why we are calling it the Opportunity Center.
PCJFS’s activities have outgrown its old office. Our previous building is now being used by the Commissioners for badly needed space for non-court county offices, as renovations on the courthouse continue. The new build will open up space for the County to both repair the courthouse and give the county courts the room they need.
The Opportunity Center will be home to our partners including Hocking Athens Perry Community Action Program (HAPCAP) and state government one-stop partners.
