Perry County Scholarship Award

The Perry County Retired Teachers Association will award two annual scholarships for the academic year in the amount of $500 each.  Applicants must have graduated from a Perry County High School and be a college junior or senior enrolled in the College of Education at some point during the 2018-2019  academic year.

The first award, begun in 1997, rotates to each Perry County school district in alphabetical order.  If the school district in the order of rotation has no applicant who meets the guidelines in a particular year, the award goes to the next district in the rotation.  This year, graduates of Crooksville HS will be given first consideration.

The second award will be given to a Perry County school district recipient who meets the guidelines regardless of which school was attended.

Applications are available at all PC Libraries. Applications should be postmarked by August 1, 2019 and mailed to Betsy Martin, 10185 N. State Rte. 60 NW, McConnelsville, OH 43756. Please include:  application form, your essay and an official transcript. Scholarships will be awarded at our Oct. 22, 2019 meeting.

Contributions to this scholarship fund from retired teachers or other interested Perry County residents may be sent to Kathy Young, 927 South Main Street, New Lexington, Ohio 43764.
