New Lexington Water System Boil Advisory | Thursday, October 7, 2021
OCTOBER 8th, 2021 Boil Advisory Canceled
OCTOBER 7th, 2021
BOIL ADVISORY-PRECAUTIONARY
Due to a hydrant replacement, the New Lexington Water System is advising all residents in the following area, that until further notice, all consumer's vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking, and/or oral hygiene:
PORCELAIN ST, IMPERIAL ST, SOMERSET ST, READING ST ACADEMY ST, FAIRVIEW ST, AND KNOLL ST.
The New Lexington Water System has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist, however, that the water system is contaminated and is issuing a boil advisory as a precaution.
The water department is conducting an investigation and collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the water advisory is lifted. For further information, please contact the Village Administrator's Office at (740) 342-1633.
