Newark, Ohio (June 1, 2020) — The American Red Cross has issued an appeal for new disaster team response volunteers in several local counties in Central and Southeast Ohio.


 

Red Cross: Disaster Volunteers needed in Perry, Muskingum, Guernsey, Morgan and Noble Counties!

REGISTER BY MONDAY, JUNE 15TH FOR ON LINE DISASTER RESPONSE TRAINING CLASSES!

 

NEWARK, Ohio (June 1, 2020) — The American Red Cross is currently seeking volunteer candidates to assist and support future Red Cross disaster response efforts in each of the following counties: GUERNSEY, MORGAN, MUSKINGUM, NOBLE AND PERRY COUNTIES!

ON-LINE RED CROSS DISASTER RESPONSE TRAINING CLASSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE!!

Currently, the American Red Cross is in need of 4-6 new volunteers in each of the counties indicated to register for disaster services training to become members of our local community DAT (DISASTER ACTION)  TEAMS in each of these areas.  Individuals that are interested can register online to schedule the on-line training courses at home to learn Red Cross disaster response services and procedures to respond to support local families impacted by local disasters such as fires and floods  (all necessary protective equipment will be provided for local responders).

Applicants for this position should be familiar with Microsoft Office, have home internet connectivity and be willing to learn Red Cross Disaster services applications.

NOTE: In addition, the American Red Cross is also looking for local Blood Services Scheduling Specialist volunteers to work from home to schedule local volunteers to work at various local community blood drives in the region.  This is a virtual volunteer position that can be staffed virtually from home.  Applicants should be familiar with Microsoft Office, have internet connectivity and have good communication skills.
