Grant Funds Wireless Hotspots for Shawnee, Ohio
Shawnee, Ohio has two new public WiFi hotspots thanks to a grant from the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio, in partnership with AEP Ohio, that Rural Action helped to secure. Dan Vorisek, Community Coach in Rural Action’s Resilient Communities program, worked with mayor Bev Trovato to write the grant, which funded installation of hotspots at Shawnee Village Park and Shawnee Village Hall.

A Center for Opportunities
The Perry County Ohio Commissioners recently approved and charged the development, by Perry County Job and Family Services (PCJFS), of a new Opportunity Center Campus serving everyone living across the County. The Center will be located at the County Home Farm, west of New Lexington on State Route 37, across from the County Fairgrounds.
