ODOT Region 8 Mobility Solution Center Opening in Perry County

Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Region 8 Mobility Management announces a new coordinated approach to streamlining mobility solutions. March 12, 2021 - The Region 8 Mobility Solution Center (R8MSC) is located in Perry County and will serve the residents of Athens, Hocking, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Noble, Perry, and Washington Counties. The R8MSC will begin fielding calls on March 17, 2021 with a soft opening and a grand opening TBA in Spring 2021.

The Perry County Municipal Court Community Service Program offers a way for people convicted of a misdemeanor to make reparations to the community. The Community Service Program works with County, Township, Village, and non-profit organizations within Perry County. People convicted of a misdemeanor may be fined, required to do Community Service, or a combination of both. Required Community Service hours typically range from 20 to 80 hours per conviction.

HAPCAP Announces New Round of Rent, Mortgage, and Utility Assistance for Residents Impacted by COVID-19 | February 24, 2021

GLOUSTER –Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) has announced that there are funds available to assist households impacted by COVID-19 with rent, mortgage, and utility payments. Hocking, Athens, or Perry County residents who are at or below 80% of their county’s Area Median Income (AMI) and have fallen behind on rent, utility, or mortgage payments are encouraged to contact HAPCAP to submit an application for assistance. Funds are available for a limited time and applicants are encouraged to reach out early.
