The Breakfast meeting will be held at Dodson’s on Broadway in New Lexington 7:30-8:30am.
At this breakfast we will highlight Perry Counties, launch of the official Perry County Visitors Bureau web site,
"Discover Perry County."
Chris Shirer with Madison+Fifth, and Angela McCord, Perry County Visitors Bureau Coordinator will be speaking to the group and highlighting the many features of the new web site.
This new web site and the creation of our new Perry County Visitors Bureau through the Perry County Commissioners office, has taken nearly 5 years to complete.
In March of 2018 the Perry County Board of Commissioners passed an updated Lodging Tax resolution and began the journey to get to this point. Lodging tax is collected every time you book a room most anywhere. In the State of Ohio those collected funds must be used to promote tourism and tourism activities where they are collected. All the expenses of this website and the Perry County Visitors bureau are funded through the County lodging taxes collected. County "General Funds" are not used.
It has taken nearly two years to identify and contact all the lodging establishments through the Air BnB network. We are sure there are businesses and tourism assets that will need to be added, the website will be constantly updated.

The "Coffee with some Commissioners" breakfast is open to everyone, and we look forward to hearing
from other agencies and organizations around the county each month in this exchange of positive information.
As always, we will take time for everyone in attendance to give updates.
