Drop in to Perry County District Library…no appointment necessary!
Beginning April 5, 2021, all Perry County District Library locations opened for regular operating hours with no appointments necessary. After many months of preparation and precaution, the library staff is excited to welcome visitors at any time, while abiding by maximum occupancy limits. All visitors, with the exception of those under the age of 2, will be required to wear masks. Curbside services will continue to be offered for those who prefer the convenience of this service. The library staff members are planning a mix of virtual and in-person outdoor programs for summer, and continue to offer grab-n-go program bags for all ages. COVID-19 Home Test Kits Now Available at the Perry County District Library
All Perry County District Library locations are distribution sites for Abbott BinaxNOW Rapid COVID-19 Antigen At-Home Test Kits. In partnership with the Ohio Department of Health and the Governor’s Test Team, free test kits are available via curbside pick-up. The testing process is done through the use of the NAVICA App, where a telehealth specialists assists with the testing, reading results and reporting to the local Health Department if necessary. The entire process is free of charge. Prior to picking up the test, you are asked to download the NAVICA App to receive a user code. Those who need assistance with Internet access can also request a mobile hotspot from the library. For more information, contact the library at 740-342-4194.

A big thank you goes to the Perry County Commissioners for making this idea a reality by providing funding for the project. We thank Southern Local School District for funding the Corning Branch WiFi expansion through Cares Act funding as well.
By working together, all Perry County District Library locations now have robust outdoor WiFi! The Commissioners also provided funding for outdoor seating areas at library locations where space allowed, as well as benches in the Village of Shawnee.
