Residents North of West Broadway New Lexington Ohio will be experiencing little to no water pressure due to a water line leak - 3:00 p.m., September 28, 2021. BOIL ADVISORY - LIFTED September 30, 2021


Please be advised that the boil advisory that was issued September 29, 2021 for customers on Porcelain St, Imperial St, Somerset St, and Reading St as been lifted.

Water samples were collected and analyzed. Results of the analysis indicated that the water system was not contaminated and therefore should be considered safe for consumption.

BOIL ADVISORY-PRECAUTIONARY
The New Lexington Water System is advising all residents in the following area, that until further notice, all consumer's vigorously boil, for at least one minute, any water used for drinking (including water used to make ice), cooking, and/or oral hygiene:
PORCELAIN ST, IMPERIAL ST, SOMERSET ST, AND READING ST
The New Lexington Water System has no evidence at this time that the water system is contaminated. The possibility does exist, however, that the water system is contaminated and is issuing a boil advisory as a precaution.
The water department is conducting an investigation and collecting additional samples and hopes to have this problem corrected soon. An additional notice will be given when the water advisory is lifted. For further information, please contact the Village Administrator's Office at (740) 342-1633.

 

 

Residents North of West Broadway New Lexington Ohio will be experiencing little to no water pressure due to a water line leak - 3:00 p.m., September 28, 2021. The public service department is currently working on the water line leak.  Updates will be provided as they become available.
