2018 Drinking Water Consumer Confidence Report now available for Northern Perry County Water Thornville (#1) and Burr Oak (#2)

The Northern Perry County Water #1 and #2 water systems has prepared the following report to provide information to you, the consumer on the quality of our drinking water. This report was required as part of the Safe Drinking Water Act Re-authorization of 1996 and was required to be delivered to the consumer by May 22, 2019. Included within this report are general health information, water quality test results, and water system contacts.

2019 Water Bill Assistance Program

Hocking, Athens, and Perry County, Ohio residents may be eligible for a one-time benefit of up to $200 to be paid directly to the water company to pay the bill, late fees, reconnect fees or other items on the bill that are required in order for the service to be maintained for at least 30 days. Additional items could include sewer charges or current and past bill amounts. Funds cannot be used for deposit assistance.

Comprehensive Falls Prevention Home Assessment Project

Perry County Ohio Job and Family Services Adult Protective Services has started a new program for adults 60 years and older who have or have had a fall related injury/accident. Adult Protective Services (APS) can go into the home and do a fall risk assessment and provide minor home modifications to make it safer. APS provide the risk assessment to the adult’s primary care physician so they can go over safety in the home as well.
