The Village of Thornville will receive $1 million in federal funds to expand the existing wastewater treatment plant. Northern Perry County Water and Wastewater is receiving $1 million to help fund a waterline expansion project to extend water service to households currently not covered.

New Lexington Schools Awarded $2.5 Million Grant | March 5, 2024
Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced yesterday the recipients of the Career Technical Education Equipment Grant Program which will expand career technical education access to an additional 10,345 students across the state. The funding helps schools purchase up-to-date equipment so they can better prepare students to be career-ready upon graduation. New Lexington Schools in Perry County was awarded $2.5 Million.

(GLOUSTER, OH) - The Winter Crisis Program at Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) will be accepting applications until March 31, 2024. Residents of Hocking, Athens, and Perry Counties may schedule their appointments by calling (740) 868-1908. This program is designed to help households facing an emergency maintain or restore their primary heating source, including electric or gas service. This program also provides bulk fuel (propane, wood, coal, fuel oil, kerosene) for eligible households.
